It counts them all as new movies despite the fact that I haven't touched any of the files in a long time. Full quality video/audio/subtitles taken from its original source and put in mkv container. When Plex chooses to direct play a file, that means the media file is 100 compatible with the client device, and the Plex server needs to do nothing with the media file except send it to the client device.
encode Only from the highest quality WEB-DL or Bluray Remux available. I have a library of over 1,000 movies that I don't let the "Match" function touch. to rip my BluRays and encode them into smaller file sizes for my PLEX server.
